Massage

Dream students often say doing Hatha Yoga is like getting "an internal massage." Yoga does work out a lot of tension and tightness. But deep tissue, therapeutic, Thai Yoga, and other massage can support your yoga practice or any other physical activity you do.

Other benefits of massage include:

  • Decrease stress and anxiety.
  • Lower your heart rate and blood pressure.
  • Increase circulation and lymph flow, enhancing the immune system.
  • Increase flexibility and range of motion.
  • Boost levels of endorphins (the body's natural painkillers).
  • Improve alertless.
  • Experience a greater sense of overall well-being.

Come see for yourself the difference a good massage can make for you!

Thai Yoga Massage

Service Providers:  Danielle Brand-LeMond, Robin Camille Dennis

Fee: $105/Hour;  $125/75 minutes; $150/90 minutes

Also called “Lazy Man’s Yoga” or “Ancient Massage,” this dynamic healing therapy has its roots in Thailand's traditional medicine system.  It is a holistic practice, meant to restore balance of body, mind, energy, and spirit.

Some people experience Thai Yoga Bodywork as a "passive yoga session" where they can stay in a relaxed muscle state as they experience deep stretching and opening with little effort.  The practice incorporates therapeutic touch, "energy work" similar to acupressure, yoga-like stretching, mindful breathing, and relaxation to balance and clear your energy, your body and mind.

Benefits include:

  • Relieve tension in muscles and joints
  • Lengthen muscles to improve flexibility
  • Balance the "energetic body"
  • Enhance and complement your yoga practice
  • Massage and tone internal organs
  • Improve digestion
  • Help you relax –increase feelings of peacefulness and wellbeing.

This modality is excellent for athletes looking to increase flexibility and maintain structural integrity, as well as for individuals who are seeking a comprehensive full-body treatment that relieves muscular tension and balances the body energetically.

TYM is performed on a thick mat on the floor, with the client remaining clothed.  No oils or creams are used. Please wear comfortable yoga clothing for your massage. It takes 90 minutes to complete a full therapeutic session.
