| Spring Session to Start Sunday, April 11 You can still grab a spot for yourself in one or more classes in Dream's Winter Session. Your class fee will be prorated from the time you register ($17/class when you register versus $22 for Drop In). You can also sign up for our upcoming Spring Session. Open Registration starts Friday, March 5. All current Winter classes will continue into the Spring. We also have four new classes perfect for students new to yoga or returning. NEW CLASSES & Class CHANGES include: Dream happily welcomes five new or returning yoga instructors—all who have Kripalu Yoga certifications or experience and many gifts to offer students. To get to know these wonderful teachers better, please read their bios at “About Us: The Dream Team.” Mondays (5:30 p.m.), Tuesdays (5:45 p.m.) & Fridays (9:45 a.m.): Our “YOGA STRETCH for Flexibility, Strength & More” classes have a new name – “Yoga Stretch & Strengthen.” While the format of these popular classes will be the same, the name change supports the fact that we strengthen as well as stretch in these classes to achieve a healthy balance in the body/mind. Tuesday 7:30-9:00 p.m.: Caroline will lead a class—"Mastering 'Not So' HOT YOGA” – for beginners or anyone who wants to safely learn the poses/practice of Bikhram Yoga. Caroline is a former Dream teacher and Bikram Yoga Instructor who has been a student of mine and Kripalu’s founder Yogi Amrit Desai. Welcome back Caroline! 7:30-9:00 p.m.: A new 6-week Mini-Course: "Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation & Stress Reduction" class with Jon Waterman starts May 4. This popular class is open to beginners, continuing beginners and others who want support for their meditation practice. Tuesdays & Thursdays 7:15-7:45 a.m.: Mark C. will continue holding our newly instituted “Good Morning Meditation Practice” classes. These classes are a great way to establish and/or nurture your Vipassana or other silent meditation practice. The strength generated by students meditating together will help you relax, better focus, and go deeper into your experience. And sitting mindfully first thing in the morning will give you greater clarity and insight you can take into your day to work and live more thoughtfully and creatively. (Drop-In, Donation Basis; No Registration Required)) Wednesday 10:00-11:30 a.m.: Sandy returns to teach a new "Mastering Yoga Basics” class for Beginners and Beyond. This moderately-paced class provides a solid foundation for students new to yoga…or for refining your knowledge/practice of important Hatha and Kripalu Yoga basics. Students will practice all major categories of yoga postures—standing, balancing, seated & reclining postures, cleansing twists, beginning backbends & basic inversions. Thursday 5:45-7:00 p.m.: Cristina will teach a new class focused on Yoga for Wellness, "Intro to Yoga & Energetics." In addition to learning and practicing yoga poses and pranayama (breathing exercises), students will pay attention to the “subtle body”—which includes chakras. Subtle and dynamic movements will increase the flow of energy or prana—our lifeforce—to unblock “stuck” energy to prevent and heal dis-ease. 7:15-8:45 p.m.: New Dream mom/instructor Danielle returns to teach her Yin & Yang Yoga class, which now starts 15 minutes later than in the Winter Session. Welcome back Danielle! Friday 7:00-9:15 p.m.: On May 4, Dream Yoga Massage Therapist Robin will lead her first PARTNER Thai Yoga Massage (which got snowed out this Winter). Welcome Robin! Saturdays Kids love Kelly and their parents have asked that we do more Kids Yoga classes. So we’ll offer Kids Yoga classes twice a month starting in May. We’ve also extended the times for these classes. The next class is March 20. 1:30-2:30 p.m.: FUN YOGA for Kids, Ages 3-6 3:00-4:30 p.m.: CREATIVE YOGA for Ages 7-12 Sunday 5:00-6:30 p.m.: Christine will be leading "Vigorous Vinyasa Flow"—an intense, Kripalu-influenced, body-mind workout class in which students flow in and out of poses at a faster pace than in other Dream classes. 6:45-8:00 p.m.: Cristina will lead "Gentle Yoga Flow"--a new class suitable for Beginners and anyone wanting to slow down, reduce stress, and feel renewed and ready for the week ahead.
